In the recent developments at Cancelada, El Padrón and around Selwo, homes arrive with ducting provision and decent insulation, so the sensible answer is a properly balanced ducted system with per-room grilles and a central thermostat, often aerothermal where domestic hot water needs solving too. In the old town and the village houses of the centre it is the opposite: thick walls that hold heat, no void for ducting, and aesthetic restrictions on facade-mounted outdoor units, so we work with splits and multi-splits sited in the courtyard or on the roof. The Estepona coastline adds salt air, which corrodes the outdoor coil well before its theoretical life; on the front line we specify anti-corrosion condensers plus an annual wash under Mi Techo Care. And because cooling is a daytime load, pairing it with solar makes particular sense here: the unit runs hardest exactly when production peaks, so most of the cooling cost is covered by your own energy. If you already have one brand in the house we stay with it, so existing pipework and central controls can be reused where their condition allows.

Often, yes. We check the diameter and condition of the copper lines, pull a vacuum and run a leak test, and if the circuit is sound we reuse the route, which makes a replacement notably cheaper. Where the old unit ran R-22, the pipework can usually be kept after a chemical flush. "Muy buena experiencia con Mi Techo Solar. Contacté con ellos para la instalación de dos baterías Deye adicionales en mi sistema fotovoltaico y el servicio ha sido rápido, eficiente y muy profesional. Quiero destacar especialmente el trabajo de Santi, el técnico que realizó la instalación. Además de dejar las nuevas baterías perfectamente instaladas y funcionando, dedicó bastante tiempo a explicarme diferentes aspectos de mi instalación y resolvió muchas dudas que tenía. Se nota que conoce muy bien este tipo de sistemas y agradecí especialmente que me explicara todo de forma clara y sin prisas.
