Benalmádena splits into three areas that behave very differently when it comes to cooling. In Benalmádena Costa and Puerto Marina, beachfront apartments dominate, many of them holiday homes or short-term rentals. There, what matters is a unit that cools quickly and can be controlled by wifi from abroad, rather than an oversized system that sits idle nine months of the year. Arroyo de la Miel, the year-round residential district, is the opposite case: an inverter heat pump that cools in summer and heats through January and February, when an uninsulated Mediterranean home gets genuinely cold at night and the alternative is an electric radiator, the most expensive thing you can plug in. In Benalmádena Pueblo and Torremuelle, with hillside houses and wildly varying orientations, room-by-room calculation is essential: a west-facing wall above the slope collects afternoon sun and can need 40% more capacity than a north-facing room in the same house. One factor applies across the whole municipality: proximity to the sea. Salt air corrodes the outdoor coil long before the unit's theoretical service life is up, so on the front line we specify anti-corrosion-treated condensers and an annual coil wash, which can be bundled into Mi Techo Care. If you already have one brand in the house we stay with it, so existing pipework and central controls can be reused where their condition allows.

Often, yes. We check the diameter and condition of the copper lines, pull a vacuum and run a leak test, and if the circuit is sound we reuse the route, which makes a replacement notably cheaper. "Muy buena experiencia con Mi Techo Solar. Contacté con ellos para la instalación de dos baterías Deye adicionales en mi sistema fotovoltaico y el servicio ha sido rápido, eficiente y muy profesional. Quiero destacar especialmente el trabajo de Santi, el técnico que realizó la instalación. Además de dejar las nuevas baterías perfectamente instaladas y funcionando, dedicó bastante tiempo a explicarme diferentes aspectos de mi instalación y resolvió muchas dudas que tenía.
