How a Virtual Battery Works
From solar production to grid compensation, a seamless energy cycle that maximizes your savings.
Solar Panels Generate
Your panels produce electricity during the day, typically 6–10 kWh per kWp installed.
Battery Stores Surplus
Excess energy that you don't use immediately is stored in your home battery (5–20 kWh).
Use at Night
When the sun sets, your home draws from the battery, no grid electricity needed.
Sell the Rest
Any remaining surplus is fed into the grid. You receive compensation on your electricity bill.
Why Add Battery Storage?
Sell Excess Energy
Feed surplus solar energy back into the grid and receive compensation through Spain's net metering system. Your meter literally runs backwards.
Smart Energy Management
AI-powered inverters optimize when to store, consume, or sell your energy. Maximize self-consumption during peak tariff hours and export during off-peak.
Blackout Protection
With increasing power outages on the Costa del Sol, a battery system keeps your home powered 24/7. Essential for security systems, pools, and climate control.
ROI in 5–7 Years
Battery prices have dropped 30% in 2026. Combined with solar panels and feed-in compensation, your system pays for itself faster than ever before.
Remote Monitoring
Track your energy production, consumption, storage and grid exports in real-time from your smartphone. Full transparency, wherever you are.
EV Integration
Charge your electric vehicle with free solar energy stored in your battery. Combined with MOVES IV subsidies, electric mobility becomes virtually free.

Spain's Net Metering & Feed-In System
Under Royal Decree 244/2019, homeowners can inject surplus solar energy into the grid and receive compensation on their electricity bill.
Compensation is typically €0.05–0.08 per kWh exported, which offsets your consumption charges (not the fixed access fee).
With a battery, you first maximize self-consumption (saving €0.15–0.25/kWh), then export the remaining surplus for additional savings.
Combined with IBI and ICIO tax deductions, the total incentive package makes solar + battery the best investment for Costa del Sol homeowners.
Example: 8 kWp System + 10 kWh Battery
