PowerHub ONE, the plug-in battery for homes without solar panels
Made for apartments and smaller households that cannot install solar panels: modular LFP storage from 2.4 to 12 kWh that simply plugs into a normal 230 V socket. From €1,199 incl. VAT, expandable module by module, with a 10-year product warranty, supplied and supported in Málaga by Mi Techo Solar.

A battery for homes that cannot install solar panels
Most home batteries assume you have solar panels and a switchboard ready for a hybrid inverter. A large part of the Costa del Sol lives differently: apartments without their own roof, rented homes, communities that do not allow panels. PowerHub ONE is built exactly for that situation. The Main Unit plugs into a standard 230 V socket and the LFP modules stack on top, 2.4 kWh each, up to five modules and 12 kWh in total. No building work, no new inverter, no legalisation file.
Without panels, PowerHub ONE charges from the grid during cheap valle hours and discharges during expensive punta hours, that alone shifts a meaningful share of an apartment's bill. Add panels later (or a small balcony setup) and it stores your own surplus too. With the backup output, selected appliances, router, fridge, lighting, keep running during an outage, with a switchover time of ≤10 ms.
PowerHub ONE is our own brand, so we control the roadmap, the app and the warranty handling. It is deliberately a different product from a professionally installed system: if you want a powerful hybrid inverter with 10–15 kWh of storage engineered into your installation, our technicians install Deye, Solplanet, Pylontech and Enphase, see our battery storage page.

Frequently asked questions
What is PowerHub ONE?
PowerHub ONE is our own brand of modular plug-in home battery: a Main Unit plus one to five LFP battery modules of 2.4 kWh each, from 2.4 kWh up to 12 kWh. It connects to a normal 230 V socket, so you get storage without a full hybrid-inverter rebuild.
How much power does it deliver?
On a normal shared socket PowerHub ONE delivers up to 800 W (0.8 kW nominal). With its own dedicated circuit it delivers up to 2.4 kW peak (10.43 A at 230 V). The backup output supplies 2.4 kW nominal with a switchover time of ≤10 ms for selected appliances.
Do I need solar panels to use it?
No. PowerHub ONE also charges from the grid during cheap valle hours and discharges during expensive punta hours. If you already have solar, it stores your surplus instead of exporting it at a low compensation rate.
Is it an alternative to a full hybrid battery system?
It sits in between. For homes that want a professional 10–15 kWh system tied into a hybrid inverter we install Deye, Solplanet, Pylontech or Enphase. PowerHub ONE is for households that want to start smaller, without rebuilding the switchboard, and it can be expanded module by module.
What warranty applies?
PowerHub gives a 10-year product warranty on PowerHub ONE, with a battery performance warranty of 6,000 cycles or at least 70% remaining usable capacity. Mi Techo Solar handles the claim locally as your point of contact in Spain.
Can I order it in Spain right now?
PowerHub ONE is available for pre-order through Mi Techo Solar for the Costa del Sol and the province of Málaga. Request a reservation via the form or WhatsApp +34 685 325 739 and we confirm delivery window, installation and price in writing.
Does a plug-in battery need legalisation or registration in Spain (RD 244/2019)?
Royal Decree 244/2019 regulates self-consumption: the registration and CAU file apply to the generation installation (your solar panels), not to a battery that only stores energy behind the meter. If you already have a legalised self-consumption installation, adding PowerHub ONE normally requires no new file. If you add or modify generation at the same time, or connect it to a dedicated circuit in the switchboard, we prepare the declaración responsable and the modification with the Junta de Andalucía for you. We always confirm the exact obligation in your written quote before installation.
What is the payback time on the Costa del Sol?
It depends on your tariff and consumption pattern. A household that shifts roughly 4–6 kWh per day from expensive punta hours to stored solar or cheap valle energy typically saves €300–€600 per year at current Costa del Sol tariffs, which puts a PowerHub ONE 5 or 7.5 in the range of 5–8 years. Homes with air conditioning, a pool pump or an EV charge and discharge more each day and sit at the fast end of that range. We calculate your own figure from your last 12 months of invoices before you decide, we do not promise a fixed payback.
Which warranties apply per product?
Warranty is per product, not one blanket term. PowerHub ONE: 10-year product warranty with a performance warranty of 6,000 cycles or at least 70% remaining usable capacity. Solar panels: up to 25 years product warranty and a 25-year linear performance warranty depending on the brand and model we quote. Inverters and hybrid batteries (Deye, Solplanet, Pylontech, Enphase): 10 to 15 years depending on model and registration. On top of that comes the Mi Techo Solar installation warranty on our own work, plus your statutory consumer rights, which no manufacturer term can limit. Every quote lists the exact term per component.
Who is eligible for a PowerHub ONE?
Any household with a 230 V connection in Málaga province and the Costa del Sol: owners with or without solar panels, and also tenants and apartment residents, because the unit plugs in and can move with you. You do not need roof space or community approval for the standard plug-in setup. For a dedicated circuit up to 2.4 kW peak you need access to your own switchboard, which in an apartment usually means owner consent. Communities of owners and businesses can order too, for those we quote through the same route as our comunidad projects.
