How many solar panels does a villa on the Costa del Sol need?

It depends on your annual consumption. In Málaga every installed kWp yields roughly 1,750 kWh per year according to PVGIS (European Commission), so a home using 5,000 kWh typically needs 6-8 well-oriented panels. We size it from your actual electricity bills.

Do I need permission to install solar panels in Spain?

In most Málaga municipalities a declaración responsable is enough, plus legalisation with the Junta de Andalucía and self-consumption registration with the grid operator. We handle the full paperwork for you.

Can I have solar installed on a holiday home I don't live in full time?

Yes, and it is one of the most common cases we handle. With remote monitoring you can see production from abroad, and a battery lets the property run its pool pump, alarm and air conditioning on solar while you are away.

Is a home battery worth it on the Costa del Sol?
