Solar panel installation in Marbella

If you are planning solar panels in Marbella or elsewhere on the Costa del Sol, Mi Techo Solar is your local installer. We are based in Coín, Málaga, and cover the entire coast: Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Mijas, Torremolinos, Nerja, Torre del Mar and Málaga city. Marbella receives roughly 2,900 hours of sunshine a year, so a typical 5–6 kWp rooftop system produces around 8,500–9,500 kWh annually, enough to cover most of a family home's consumption and cut the electricity bill by up to 70%. Every quote starts with a free rooftop survey: we check orientation, shading and roof type (tile, flat or slate), then engineer a system around your actual consumption profile from your latest Endesa bill. Systems are built with Tier-1 panels and hybrid Deye, Solplanet or Enphase inverters, so a battery can be added later without replacing equipment. We handle the Junta de Andalucía subsidy paperwork, the IBI reduction request and the legalisation with the distributor. For premium villa projects in Marbella city, the Golden Mile, Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, Benahavís and La Zagaleta, our sister brand SolarMarbella.es is the dedicated specialist. Compare system sizes and indicative prices on our Marbella solar search page, and see our battery storage, EV charger and Mi Techo Care maintenance pages.

Solar panel cost in Marbella in 2026

Solar panels in Marbella cost around €500 per panel installed (540–610 Wp) including inverter, mounting, VAT, installation and legalisation, so a typical ten-panel 5.4 kWp system comes to about €5,000 all-in. With the PVGIS reference yield of 1,755 kWh per kWp a year for Marbella, that array produces roughly 9,500 kWh annually, worth €150–200 a month off the bill. Villas in Sierra Blanca or Los Monteros with a heated pool, air conditioning and an EV usually need 8–15 kWp (€8,000–15,000), plus €3,000–4,000 for a 5 kWh battery.

Solar installers in Marbella with in-house crews

We work as solar installers in Marbella with our own teams and no subcontractors, across Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, Elviria, Puerto Banús, Los Monteros and Sierra Blanca. Every project includes a drone shading survey, sizing from the distributor's real hourly consumption curve, the electrical certificate and full legalisation under RD 244/2019. The engineer who designs the system commissions and hands it over, and our Care service takes over inspections and cleaning afterwards.

Discreet solar panels for Marbella urbanisations and communities

Many Marbella urbanisations require that panels stay out of sight from the street. We design low-profile frames, split the array across roof planes and use full-black modules where the community's aesthetic rules demand it, with no meaningful loss of output. For apartment blocks we set up collective self-consumption, which since RD 244/2019 passes by simple majority, with the share allocation prepared for the owners' meeting.

IBI rebate and town-hall paperwork in Marbella

In Marbella a single-family system is filed as a declaración responsable with the ICIO building tax, and in landscape-protected zones we justify the roof integration before installing. We prepare the installation certificate, claim the municipal self-consumption rebate set out in the current ordinance, and register surplus compensation with Endesa e-distribución. All paperwork is in the quote, with no separate fees.

Solar panels, solar energy and PV companies in Marbella

Solar panels in Marbella, solar energy in Marbella or solar companies in Marbella all describe the same job. We are a photovoltaic installation company in Marbella with our own crews, covering self-consumption in Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, Elviria and Puerto Banús, in villas as well as owners' associations.

If you are searching for a solar kit in Marbella or cheap solar panels in Marbella, the difference is what the price covers: a bare kit has no mounting, no electrical certificate and no legalisation, while our fixed quote does. We also answer 'solar installers near me in Marbella' with a free technical visit.

Solar panel batteries in Marbella

Nearly every system we install in Marbella ends up considering storage, because the panels produce at midday while the house consumes after sunset. Without a battery self-consumption stays at 30–40%; with a correctly sized one it rises to 80–95%. A couple is usually covered by 5 kWh, a family with air conditioning or a pool needs 10–15 kWh, and a villa with continuous climate control 15–20 kWh.

We install LFP lithium storage with a ten to fifteen year warranty, in most cases onto an existing system without replacing the inverter. Installed prices, capacities and real projects are on our solar panel battery storage page, and where the inverter is a hybrid we also size blackout backup, which matters in Marbella.

INEA 2026 solar grant in Marbella

Homeowners and owners’ associations in Marbella can apply under the Andalucía-wide INEA 2026 programme (BDNS 930704). The residential line covers 55% to 65% of eligible investment in solar self-consumption with battery storage. Panels and battery must form one investment; storage is capped at 5 kWh per kW and at least 75% of its annual charge must come from the installation’s own solar production. Applications open on 22 October 2026 at 09:00 and are handled in order of submission until 30 September 2027 or the budget is exhausted. This regional grant is separate from any municipal IBI or ICIO rebate in Marbella.

Solar subsidies, IBI and ICIO rebates in Marbella

Every town hall sets its own tax ordinance, so what you can claim in Marbella is decided by the ordenanza fiscal of the Ayuntamiento de Marbella for the current year. We check that ordinance before quoting and we file the paperwork for you. In Marbella many villas sit in urbanisations with their own design rules; we add the roof plan and integration detail the town hall usually asks for alongside the declaración responsable.

IBI rebate in Marbella

Article 74.5 of the Spanish local finance act (RDL 2/2004) lets a town hall grant up to 50% off the IBI property tax for self-consumption solar, for a number of years it sets itself. It only applies if the Ayuntamiento de Marbella has included it in the ordinance in force, so we verify the current text and the filing deadline, which is usually tied to the installation date and the cadastral reference.

ICIO rebate on the works tax

Article 103.2.b of the same act allows up to 95% off the ICIO construction tax for solar installations. The ICIO is paid with the declaración responsable at the Ayuntamiento de Marbella and is calculated on the actual cost of the works, so battery storage and electrical upgrades count towards the base as well.

Grants and tax relief beyond the town hall

On top of the municipal rebates there is the national income-tax deduction for energy-efficiency works, where it is in force for the tax year, and the regional INEA 2026 grant from the Junta de Andalucía: 55% to 65% for solar with a battery, applications from 22 October 2026, and no support on the residential line without storage. We tell you honestly which of these is actually available on the day you sign, instead of quoting a grant that closed.

Storage changes the maths in Marbella: it raises the ICIO base slightly but cuts the share of the production you export at a low price.

Tax rules change every budget year. Treat the above as what we verify for you, not as a guarantee of a specific percentage.

Frequently Asked Questions

When you compare solar panel installers near me in Marbella, check three things: that the company is a registered installer able to legalise the system with Endesa, that it uses Tier-1 panels with a 25-year performance warranty, and that it offers after-sales service from a local office. Mi Techo Solar works from Coín in Málaga province, has completed 700+ installations and scores 4.8/5 on Google, so surveys, warranty visits and maintenance are all handled locally.

They all point to the same company and the same team. This page is our single official English page for solar panels in Marbella: prices, real projects, grants and the quote request all live here. Google sometimes also shows our blog articles or town pages (Estepona, Benahavís, Ojén) for the same search — those support this page, they are not a different offer. If you want a quote for solar panels in Marbella, this is the page to start from.

From signature to switch-on is normally two to four weeks. The install itself takes one to two days on a typical Marbella home, the distributor legalisation follows within a few weeks, and you can use the system from day one. Because our crews are based in Málaga province, we can usually install solar panels near you in Marbella, Estepona, Mijas or Benalmádena within the same fortnight.

Yes. Mi Techo Solar works from Coín, Málaga, and installs across the whole Costa del Sol, Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Mijas, Torremolinos, Málaga city, Nerja and Torre del Mar. Wherever you are on the coast, we come out for a free on-site rooftop survey, usually within 48 hours of your request.

We normally visit within 48 hours of your request and send the full written quote within 24 hours of the survey. The quote includes the system layout on your actual roof, expected annual production, the payback calculation based on your own electricity bill, and the subsidies that apply to your municipality.

Our reference price is around €500 per installed panel (540 or 610 Wp) from ten panels upwards, including mounting, hybrid inverter, protections, installation and legalisation. Ten panels (6.1 kWp) is therefore about €5,000, fourteen panels about €7,000 and twenty panels about €10,000. Compare sizes and savings on our Marbella solar search page.

Yes — Marbella is one of the best spots in Europe for solar. With 320+ sunny days a year and around 1,700 peak sun hours, a 6.1 kWp system produces roughly 9,500 kWh per year, enough to cover most of a family home's consumption. Combined with battery storage and high grid prices, payback in Marbella is typically 4–5 years, and the IBI rebate offered by the town hall shortens it further. See a real example in our Marbella case study above.

A residential rooftop installation is normally completed in 1–2 days. Legalisation with Endesa and the Junta de Andalucía takes another 4–8 weeks, but the system can be used from day one.

You must notify the community of owners, but since RD 244/2019 their approval is not required, self-consumption is a protected individual right. We prepare the notification for you.

Andalusian homeowners can claim an IBI property tax reduction for several years plus a 20% IRPF income tax deduction on the installation cost. Separately, the regional INEA 2026 grant covers 55% to 65% for solar with a battery, applications from 22 October 2026; without storage there is no support on the residential line (see /solar-panels-grant-andalusia). We file the applications for you.

Use our Marbella solar search page at /solar-marbella#precios. You can filter by home type, roof and budget and see indicative prices, annual production and estimated monthly savings for each system size before requesting a quote.

Yes. For premium villa projects in Marbella city, the Golden Mile, Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, Benahavís and La Zagaleta we work through our sister brand SolarMarbella.es, which is fully specialised in that segment.

Yes. A recent Marbella family home received 16 Tier-1 panels of 545 Wp (8.7 kWp) with a hybrid inverter and a 10 kWh battery. It produces about 13,680 kWh a year, saved €1,840 in the first twelve months and pays for itself in roughly 4.5 years. You can browse more of our 700+ installations on the projects page.

For most Marbella homes yes, because a large share of consumption (air conditioning, pool pump, cooking) falls outside peak sunshine. A 5–10 kWh battery typically lifts self-consumption from around 45% to 75–85% and shortens payback rather than lengthening it. See our battery storage page for sizes and prices.

All of them: Marbella centre, Nueva Andalucía, Puerto Banús, San Pedro de Alcántara, the Golden Mile, Elviria, Cabopino, Las Chapas, Guadalmina and Artola, plus the surrounding municipalities of Ojén, Istán, Benahavís and Mijas.

In Marbella the price per installed kW is around €1,150/kWp for small 3 kWp systems and drops to roughly €900–950/kWp from 8 kWp upwards, turnkey (panels, inverter, mounting, labour and legalisation). Each kWp produces about 1,760 kWh a year here, so the lifetime cost per kWh generated stays far below the grid tariff.

The installation in Marbella normally takes one or two working days; we are 30 minutos from our base in Coín, so the crew arrives early and no day is lost. From signing the quote to a producing system is typically 2 to 4 weeks (material delivery and installation slot), while the paperwork with the Ayuntamiento de Marbella and the grid operator continues afterwards without interrupting your self-consumption.

Yes: in Marbella the Ayuntamiento de Marbella offers an IBI rebate for self-consumption and an ICIO reduction on the building permit or declaración responsable, as set out in each year's tax ordinance (municipal track). Regional: the Junta de Andalucía INEA 2026 grant covers 55% to 65% for solar with a battery, with applications from 22 October 2026 (no storage, no support on the residential line; conditions). State: IRPF income-tax deduction for energy-efficiency works. We prepare and file the paperwork (technical report, installation certificate and receipts) as part of the service — ask us through the contact form.

Mi Techo Solar installs solar panels in Marbella with our own in-house crew, no subcontractors. We are a registered installer across la Costa del Sol occidental: free solar survey, fixed written quote, installation, RD 244/2019 legalisation and surplus-compensation registration. Request a site visit via our contact form.

The price of solar panels in Marbella depends on system size: a 5 kWp system (about ten panels) is around €5,700 turnkey including VAT, mounting, inverter, labour and legalisation, producing roughly 8,800 kWh per year. Adding a battery or going to 8–12 kWp raises the total but lowers the cost per kWp. We always quote a fixed price after inspecting the roof.

In Marbella a home using 4,000–6,000 kWh per year is covered by 10 to 14 panels (4.5–6.5 kWp), since each installed kWp yields about 1,760 kWh a year. With a pool, air-conditioning or an EV, 8–12 kWp plus a battery makes more sense. We always size from your latest electricity bill, never from estimates.

Request your solar panel quote in Marbella through our contact form or on WhatsApp at +34 685 325 739. With your address and a recent electricity bill we send a first estimate within 24 hours and book the free on-site survey within 48–72 hours. The quote is fixed, in writing and with no obligation.

In Marbella you will see very cheap solar offers that later exclude legalisation, the electrical certificate or the mounting warranty, and that is where the extra cost appears. Our price includes Tier-1 equipment, our own installation crew, the full paperwork and warranty; comparing quotes line by line pays off more than comparing headline totals.

We do — Mi Techo Solar is a local installer based in Coín, 30 minutos from Marbella, with our own installation crews rather than subcontractors. We survey the roof in Marbella, design the system, install it and handle the legalisation with the town hall and the grid operator. Ask for a free survey through the contact form.

A turnkey 3 kWp system in Marbella starts around €4,200 and a typical 5 kWp villa system lands between €6,000 and €7,500 including panels, inverter, mounting, labour, certificates and legalisation. Adding a battery usually costs €3,000–€5,000 depending on capacity. A 5 kWp array here produces roughly 8,800 kWh a year, so most homes recover the investment in five to seven years.

Yes. You need an NIE, the property deed or a rental authorisation and a Spanish utility contract in the property's name; we handle the rest of the paperwork. For owners who are not in Marbella during the works we send photo reports at each stage and can sign off remotely, and surplus energy is compensated on the bill so an empty house still earns from its production.

Yes. Our team works in English, Spanish and Dutch, so the survey in Marbella, the written quote, the warranty documents and the after-sales support are all available in English. Contracts are issued bilingually when you need the Spanish version for the community of owners or the town hall.

Compare on four things rather than headline price: whether the company installs with its own crew, whether legalisation and the electrical certificate are included in the quote, which panel and inverter brands are specified with their warranty years, and whether after-sales service is local. Mi Techo Solar covers Marbella from Coín with in-house crews, Tier-1 equipment, a 25-year panel warranty and maintenance contracts, and every quote lists those items separately so you can compare line by line.

Yes, on properties around Marbella without a grid connection or with a weak rural supply. A real off grid solar system is not a bigger rooftop array but a different design: a hybrid inverter, 15–40 kWh of LFP battery storage, an automatic transfer switch (ATS) and an EPS backup output, so the house keeps running with no grid behind it. Off grid solar kits sold online are usually undersized once air conditioning, a borehole pump and a pool are on the list, so we size on measured consumption. Budget roughly €16,000–€26,000 for a permanent home and €28,000–€45,000 for a fully self-sufficient finca. See system sizes, prices and a real project on our off-grid solar installation page.

Yes. From our workshop in Coín (Calle Arquímedes 86, Local 9) we cover Marbella and the surrounding area: Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, Elviria, Los Monteros, Puerto Banús. Marbella homeowners typically save 65–80% on their electricity bill. The exact figure depends on your consumption pattern, send your last 3 invoices via our contact form or WhatsApp and we'll return a personalised savings projection within 24 hours, free of charge.

Yes, we handle the full paperwork with the Marbella ayuntamiento (up to 50% IBI reduction for 3–5 years) and the Junta de Andalucía INEA 2026 grant (55–65% for solar with battery, applications from 22 October 2026; see /solar-panels-grant-andalusia). Zero forms for you to fill in. Start your application here or message us on WhatsApp with a photo of your latest IBI receipt.

Absolutely. Every Marbella quote is prepared by a certified project engineer, not a salesperson. Book a free 20-minute call via our contact form or reach the engineer directly on WhatsApp +34 685 325 739. We speak English, Spanish and Dutch.

Once you approve the quote we typically start in Marbella within 3–4 weeks, permits filed within 5 working days, hardware ordered same day, physical install in 1–2 days. Reserve your Marbella slot now via the contact form or WhatsApp; we book by first-come, first-served.

Solar panels in Marbella cost about €500 per panel installed, VAT, inverter, installation and legalisation included, and most homes start at ten panels, so a typical 5.4 kWp system is around €5,000 all-in. That array yields around 9,500 kWh a year here, which for a typical household covers most daytime consumption. The quote always includes legalisation, the electrical certificate and surplus compensation registration, there are no separate paperwork fees.

Ask three things: does the installer work with its own crews in Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, Elviria, Los Monteros and Sierra Blanca, does the quote include the RD 244/2019 legalisation, and who answers the phone after commissioning. Mi Techo Solar installs with in-house teams, handles the full permit process and keeps the same engineer on your project from survey to handover.

Panels carry up to 25 years of product and performance warranty, inverters 10 to 12 years (extendable) and batteries 10 years. On top of that we give a workmanship and waterproofing warranty on the mounting we install in Marbella, and near the coast we fit A4 stainless steel fixings so salt air does not shorten that lifetime.

Two levels apply. Municipally, the works are notified to the ayuntamiento; nationally, the system is legalised under RD 244/2019 (self-consumption) and registered with the Junta de Andalucía and the distributor, Endesa e-distribución, for surplus compensation. In Marbella a single-family installation is filed as a declaración responsable with the Ayuntamiento plus the ICIO tax. In gated urbanisations and communities with their own aesthetic rules we add the community's approval and, where required, a layout that is not visible from the street; in landscape-protected zones the roof integration is justified before installation. Mi Techo Solar files every step, you sign, we submit.

Five steps: (1) free site survey in Marbella, roof, orientation, shading and your last electricity bills; (2) a fixed quote with the expected annual production; (3) municipal notification and the RD 244/2019 file; (4) installation on the roof, normally one to two days for a 10-panel system; (5) commissioning, monitoring app and the surplus-compensation registration with your retailer. From signature to a working system is typically two to four weeks; the retailer's surplus compensation usually appears on the bill within one or two billing cycles after that.

What customers in Marbella and the surrounding area say

Case study: 8.7 kWp with battery on a Marbella family home

A four-person family in Marbella with an annual consumption of 9,400 kWh and an Endesa bill of around €210 per month. We installed 16 Tier-1 panels of 545 Wp on a south-west facing tile roof, a hybrid inverter and a 10 kWh battery, so evening and air-conditioning use is covered by their own solar power. Installation took two days; legalisation with Endesa and the IBI reduction request were handled by us.

Solar panel installation in Marbella

If you are searching for local solar installers or trying to install solar panels near you in Marbella, Estepona or Málaga, this is what a local company actually does for you: a site survey, a shading study, a fixed-price proposal, certified installation and the full legalisation with the Junta de Andalucía and your grid operator.

We quote a fixed price covering panels, inverter, mounting, protections, installation, legalisation and commissioning. More than 700 installations on the Costa del Sol and a 4.8 out of 5 Google rating.

We are not a lead broker. Our own engineers design the system, our own crews install it and our own team services it afterwards. See a real example in the case study on this page and compare sizes in the price table above.
