Anthracite aluminium pergola with glass-glass panels
4 x 6 m | aluminium | glass-glass panels | approx. 5 kWp
Terrace pergola with a sea view: the glass-glass panels let filtered light through and still power the villa during the day.
A solar pergola gives you shade where you actually live outdoors and turns that same surface into electricity. Aluminium structure, glass-glass or black panels, designed for the Costa del Sol climate.
Tell us the size, the material and where the pergola goes. You get a turnkey price for Malaga, Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Coin, VAT and paperwork included, normally within 48 hours.

Ask for a quote through the form on this page and give us three things: the surface you want to cover, the material (aluminium, wood or steel) and the town. We answer with a turnkey price per square metre and per kWp, VAT, structural calculation, municipal paperwork and installation included, normally within 48 hours. If the plot needs measuring we schedule a free site visit anywhere between Nerja and Estepona. The quote is free and without obligation, and it stays valid for 30 days. You can also send your request by WhatsApp or phone on +34 685 325 739.
We quote solar pergolas in Malaga city, Coin, Alhaurin el Grande, Cartama, Marbella, San Pedro, Estepona, Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Nerja and Velez-Malaga. Prices are the same across the coast; only access to the plot, the crane if a garden is hard to reach and the municipal fees of each town hall change the final figure. Ask for a quote for a pergola solar in your town and we include those local costs in the price, so the number in the quote is the number you pay.
We build every photovoltaic pergola in the material that fits the house and the location. Aluminium is the default on the Costa del Sol, wood suits gardens and rustic villas, and steel is the choice for wide spans and commercial terraces. All three carry the same panels, the same inverter and the same warranty; only the structure, the look and the price per square metre change.
Powder-coated marine-grade aluminium is the most requested solar pergola in Malaga: it does not rust in salty coastal air, weighs little, needs almost no maintenance and hides the cabling inside the profiles. Available in anthracite, black or white, with integrated gutters and downpipes for a rainproof terrace. Slim posts every 3 to 4 metres, typical price for a 4 x 6 metre aluminium pergola of about 5 kWp between 8,500 and 12,500 EUR turnkey.
A wooden photovoltaic pergola in laminated pine or iroko gives a warm, natural look for gardens, country houses and pool areas, and often passes more easily through community or heritage rules in Andalusian villages. The timber is treated for class 3 or 4 outdoor use; we recommend a re-oil every two to three years near the coast. Wood is the most affordable structure for small spans, from roughly 7,500 EUR for a 4 x 6 metre pergola of around 5 kWp, but needs extra posts above 4 metres of span.
Hot-dip galvanised steel, optionally powder-coated, is the strongest option: spans of 6 metres and more without intermediate posts, ideal for restaurant terraces, community parking and large photovoltaic pergolas above 10 kWp. Steel handles the heaviest wind loads on exposed coastal plots and takes EV chargers, lighting and heaters directly on the frame. Expect roughly 10 to 20 percent more than aluminium for the same surface, in exchange for a longer span and a higher load capacity.
Choose aluminium for a modern villa near the sea and the lowest maintenance, wood for a garden or rustic finish and the lowest budget on small spans, and steel when you need a wide open span, a commercial terrace or a heavy installation. During the free site visit we measure the surface, check the wind exposure and the ground, and give you a turnkey price per material so you can compare like for like.
A typical residential solar pergola of 4 x 6 metres carries around 5 kWp and lands between 7,500 and 12,500 EUR including structure, panels, inverter and installation. The exact price depends on the finish (standard aluminium or rainproof with gutters), the panel type and whether you add a battery. We quote the full turnkey figure, VAT and paperwork included, after a free site visit.
A pergola is designed for people: it sits next to the house, over a terrace, dining area or pool, and the finish matters as much as the yield. A carport is designed for vehicles and optimises kWp per parking bay. Many Costa del Sol homes combine both, sharing one inverter and one battery. We design them as a single system so you keep one meter, one app and one warranty.
With roughly 1,750 kWh per installed kWp per year in the province of Malaga, a 5 kWp pergola produces around 8,750 kWh annually, which covers a large share of a household with air conditioning and a pool pump. Production peaks in summer, exactly when the terrace needs shade and the cooling runs hardest.
Most pergolas in Malaga require a declaracion responsable or a minor-works licence from the town hall, and in a community of owners the structure usually needs approval at a general meeting. Mi Techo Solar prepares the technical drawings, the structural calculation and the municipal file, and files the self-consumption registration and any IBI or ICIO reduction the town hall offers.
Foundations and structure take one to two days, the electrical work a further day. Afterwards the system falls under our maintenance programme: cleaning, inverter checks and production monitoring from our workshop at Calle Arquimedes 86, Local 9, 29100 Coin (Malaga). People search for this structure under many names. Pergola solar and pergola fotovoltaica are the most common Spanish terms, marquesina solar or marquesina fotovoltaica is used when the structure also covers a car, pergola bioclimatica solar refers to versions with adjustable slats plus panels, and in English and Dutch you will see solar pergola, photovoltaic pergola, solar patio cover, zonnepergola or fotovoltaische pergola. All of them describe the same thing we build: an open structure with solar panels as the roof. If you asked for one of these terms, you are on the right page: tell us the surface and the finish and we quote it.
