Why batteries unlock parking ROI

Without batteries, surplus solar is exported at a low feed-in tariff. With batteries, you self-consume 80–95 % of production, multiplying the savings per installed kWp by 2 to 3.

Sizing the battery

Mi Techo Solar's rule of thumb is 1.5 kWh of battery per installed kWp of solar carport. For a 50-bay car parking with 220 kWp, this means roughly 330 kWh of battery, sized to cover evening EV charging and morning peaks.

Safety and compliance

All battery installations comply with Spanish RD 244/2019 and IEC 62619. Fire-rated cabinets, gas detection and integrated emergency stops are standard.
