A solar installation company in Spain with its own teams

Spanish solar produces roughly twice the electricity of the same panels in northern Europe, which is why solar energy in Spain pays back in six to nine years on the Costa del Sol. The harder part is choosing who installs it: many companies are sales offices that subcontract the roof work and disappear once the invoice is paid. Mi Techo Solar is a registered Spanish solar energy company with ten people, our own installation teams and more than 700 completed installations across the province of Malaga. We handle the survey, the installation, the legalisation and the aftercare ourselves, in English, Dutch or Spanish.

  • Registered Spanish company, CIF B44974491, based in Malaga
  • Own installation teams, no subcontracted roof crews
  • 700+ installations completed on the Costa del Sol
  • English, Dutch and Spanish speaking engineers and aftercare

How to check a solar installation company in Spain

Before you sign, ask for four things. A serious installer produces them in a day; a sales office does not.

  • The CIF number and the registered address of the company
  • Confirmation that legalisation with the Junta de Andalucia is included
  • The name of the team that will actually be on your roof
  • A written warranty on both the equipment and the installation work

What we install

We work with a short, deliberate list of brands so our engineers know every system inside out and spare parts are always available: Deye and Solplanet inverters, Enphase microinverters, Pylontech and our own MTS/LVTOPSUN batteries. We also install EV chargers and air conditioning on the same system so everything runs through one app.

  • Photovoltaic systems for homes, villas and communities
  • Hybrid inverters and battery storage
  • EV chargers with solar surplus charging
  • Air conditioning powered by your own production

From survey to switch-on

The process is fixed and you always know where you stand. Free site survey and yield calculation, written fixed-price quote, installation in one to three days depending on system size, then commissioning, monitoring setup and legalisation. Most projects run from first visit to legalised system in three to six weeks.

  • Free survey and yield study, no obligation
  • Fixed-price quote with everything included
  • Installation by our own certified team
  • Commissioning, monitoring app and legalisation handled by us

Aftercare that still exists in five years

Our maintenance arm, Mi Techo Solar Care, keeps systems working long after the installation invoice. Annual inspection, professional cleaning, remote monitoring and guaranteed response times. We also take over systems installed by companies that no longer trade, which is a large part of our repair work on the Costa del Sol.

Choosing a solar installer: frequently asked questions

On the Costa del Sol, yes. A kilowatt-peak of panels produces around 1,600 to 1,750 kWh a year here, against roughly 900 kWh in the Netherlands or the UK. With electricity at current Spanish tariffs, a typical family system pays for itself in six to nine years and keeps producing for twenty-five, so most homes save between €1,000 and €1,800 a year.

For a normal roof installation on a private home you do not need a building licence, but you do need a municipal works notification, an electrical bulletin and registration of the self-consumption installation with the Junta de Andalucía and your grid operator. Listed buildings and some historic town centres need extra approval. We file all of it for you as part of the fixed price.

A ten panel system starts around €4,500 installed and legalised. Most family homes land between €5,500 and €9,000 depending on panel count, battery and roof type, and villas with a large battery run higher. Local IBI and IRPF deductions reduce that further in many municipalities.

In the province of Malaga we count on about 1,650 kWh per installed kWp per year on a well oriented roof. A 5 kWp system therefore produces roughly 8,000 to 8,500 kWh, which covers most of the consumption of a family home with air conditioning, and more if you add a battery or a virtual battery tariff for the surplus.

The whole province of Malaga: Malaga city, Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Mijas, Nerja, Velez-Malaga and the inland towns such as Coin and Alhaurin.

Yes. Our engineers and office staff work in English, Dutch and Spanish, and the quote, contract and warranty documents are available in your language.

Yes. The electrical bulletin, the technical memoria and the registration with the Junta de Andalucia are included in every installation, along with the surplus compensation application to your electricity supplier.

Manufacturer warranties on panels, inverters and batteries, plus our own warranty on the installation work. Because we are a Spanish company with our own teams, a warranty claim is a phone call, not an international dispute.

Yes. We repair, extend and maintain systems from any brand, including installations whose original installer has closed down.
