Benahavís: bringing back a Huawei solar system left behind by the previous installer
In Benahavís we took over the maintenance of an existing solar installation with a Huawei inverter. We migrated the monitoring portal to our own environment, reviewed and corrected the defects left by the previous installer — a company that no longer exists — and got the system working again.

How we built it
The owner in Benahavís faced a situation that is becoming common on the Costa del Sol: their solar installation had been carried out by a company that later went bankrupt. With no installer behind it, the system was left without support, without access to its monitoring and with installation defects that nobody was going to fix.
The first step was regaining control of the system: we migrated the inverter's Huawei portal to our monitoring environment, so the owner can see production again and we can check operation remotely and spot alarms before they turn into a breakdown.
We then inspected the installation on site: inverter connections, cable routing and the protection enclosure. We corrected the points the previous installer had got wrong and left the DC and AC protections, the RCD and the smart meter properly mounted and wired inside a sealed enclosure.
The system is running again and being monitored. We do not publish production or savings for this installation: there is no earlier monitoring data to compare against, and we only share figures when they are real.
