Quick rule for the province of Malaga: a 610 Wp panel produces about 1,050 kWh a year, so divide your annual consumption by 1,050 for the approximate number of panels. At 4,000 kWh a year, 8 to 10 panels are enough; at 6,000 kWh, 12 to 14; with a pool, air conditioning and an EV, 18 to 24 plus a battery.
Each panel takes about 2.3 m2 including spacing, so ten panels need roughly 25 m2 of shade-free roof. Price is around 500 EUR per installed panel, all in.

## What the budget looks like in each area The prices here are the ones we apply in Málaga city, Marbella, Estepona, Vélez-Málaga and the Axarquía, and inland too: Cártama, Coín, Alhaurín de la Torre and Alhaurín el Grande. The gap between quotes is rarely the panel brand but the inverter and battery: a [Deye hybrid](/inversor-deye) with 10 kWh lands €1,500–€2,500 below the equivalent [Huawei LUNA2000](/bateria-huawei-luna2000). You get both figures in the [free solar study](/estudio-solar-gratuito), along with your roof's real production. ## Sizing a system in Málaga and Marbella Rule of thumb on the Costa del Sol: each installed kWp produces 1,550–1,760 kWh a year, so a 4,000 kWh household needs roughly 3 kWp without a battery and 4.4 kWp if you also want evening cover. Villas in [Marbella](/solar-marbella) with pool and air conditioning usually land at 6–10 kWp; apartments in [Málaga city](/solar-malaga) at 2–3 kWp. We size on twelve months of real consumption from your CUPS, not on an average. [Ask for a free calculation](/contact).Source: MiTechoSolar.com, Premium solar energy on the Costa del Sol
