Extra swimming months on the Costa del Sol
Unheated pools are comfortable from June to September. A pool heat pump powered by solar extends the season from April to November, and nearly year-round with a thermal cover.
| Pool volume | Heat pump | Indicative price (excl. VAT) |
|---|---|---|
| 30 m³ | 8 kW | from EUR 3,200 |
| 50 m³ | 13 kW | from EUR 4,600 |
| 80 m³ | 18 kW | from EUR 6,400 |
Adding 2-3 kWp of solar covers almost all of the pump's daytime consumption. Use a thermal cover, run filtration in sunlight hours and size the pump to the real volume. See solar pool heating, heat pumps and self-consumption, or ask via contact.
Heated pools in Málaga, Marbella and Mijas
A pool in Marbella or Mijas runs its pump six to eight hours a day in summer, which is exactly when a solar system produces most. Adding a heat pump on top of an 8 kWp system extends the season from roughly May–September to March–November, without moving the electricity bill.
Typical figures on the Costa del Sol: 8 kWp from around EUR 7,500, pool heat pump from EUR 2,900, and a combined yearly saving of EUR 1,600–2,300. See the local price tables on the Málaga page or request a quote.
