Mi Techo Solar

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026. These terms apply to all work by Mi Techo Solar Energías Renovables S.L., an installer with 700+ completed installations on the Costa del Sol.

1. Scope of these terms

These general terms and conditions apply to every quotation, order and installation carried out by Mi Techo Solar Energías Renovables S.L. (trading as Mi Techo Solar), CIF B44974491, registered at Calle Arquímedes 86, Local 9, 29100 Coín, Málaga, Spain. They cover solar panel installations, battery storage, virtual battery contracts, EV chargers, aerothermal heating, air conditioning and maintenance across Málaga, Marbella and the wider Costa del Sol.

2. Quotations and prices

Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are based on the roof, orientation, shading and electrical installation recorded during the free site visit. Prices include VAT at the applicable Spanish rate, standard mounting material, inverter, labour and legalisation paperwork, unless the quotation lists an item as excluded.

Additional work that only becomes apparent during installation (for example asbestos, a rebuilt roof structure or an upgrade of the electrical panel) is always quoted and approved in writing before it is carried out.

3. Payment terms

Unless agreed otherwise, payment is 40% on order confirmation, 50% on the first day of installation and 10% after commissioning and handover. Payments are made by bank transfer to the account stated on the invoice. Late payment carries statutory interest under Spanish Law 3/2004 on late payment in commercial transactions.

4. Installation and permits

We handle the technical memoria, the electrical bulletin (CIE), the registration of self-consumption with the Junta de Andalucía and the connection request with the grid operator. The customer provides access to the property, water and power during installation, and is responsible for any community-of-owners or town-hall approval where the building requires it. We assist with those applications on request.

5. Warranty

Solar panels carry a 25-year product and performance warranty from the manufacturer, inverters and batteries carry the manufacturer warranty stated in your quotation, and our installation work carries a 3-year workmanship warranty. Warranty claims are handled by our own team; we do not pass you to a third party.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by storm, lightning, vandalism, works by third parties, or by modifications made to the system without our written consent.

6. Yield estimates

Production and saving figures in our quotations are calculated with PVGIS irradiation data for your exact location and your own consumption profile. They are careful estimates, not guarantees: actual output depends on weather, consumption behaviour and electricity tariffs.

7. Cancellation and right of withdrawal

Consumers who sign off-premises or at a distance have 14 calendar days to withdraw without giving a reason, under Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. If you ask us to start within that period and then withdraw, we may invoice the work already performed. After the withdrawal period, cancellation is possible against the documented costs already incurred (design, permits and ordered material).

8. Liability

We hold civil liability insurance for our installation work. Our liability is limited to the invoice value of the installation concerned, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. We are not liable for indirect loss such as lost energy income or lost rental income.

9. Complaints and disputes

Send any complaint to info@mitechosolar.com or call +34 685 325 739; we respond within one working day and aim to resolve within 15 days. Official complaint forms (hojas de reclamaciones) are available at our office. Consumers may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform. These terms are governed by Spanish law; the courts of Málaga have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer's right to sue in their own place of residence.
